How do I race?

Pick an effort: Easy, Sit in, Threshold or Max. Sitting in someone's wheel saves about a third of your energy. Watch the reserve bar: above threshold it drains, and if it empties you crack. Attack to break away, and press Sprint when it lights up near the finish. Tap How to play on the title screen or the team bus for the full guide.

Where is my career saved?

On your device only. In the app, your career is saved after every race, training session and purchase, and kept safe even if iOS clears its web storage. Deleting the app deletes the career. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.

What do the difficulty levels change?

Story gives you a little more power and reserve, half the punctures and crashes, and more prize money. Normal is the career as designed. Hardcore takes some power, prize money and luck away. You can switch between Story and Normal at any time under Kit & difficulty on the team bus; Hardcore can only be chosen for a new career.

What's in the free demo?

The demo on this site is the full Rookie season in your browser. The App Store version has the whole career: Amateur, Continental Pro, World Tour and Elite seasons, the wind tunnel, the National Team and the Summer Games. Demo progress is not carried over to the app.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. On iPad the race view sits beside the controls when you hold it in landscape.

Is the sound off?

Use the Music and Sound buttons on the title screen or the team bus. On iPhone, the ring/silent switch can also mute game audio.

Are these real races and teams?

No. Every race, team, rider and sponsor in Watts & Glory is invented. The game is not affiliated with any cycling federation, event or brand.
