Each week you get 3 training days and a Sunday race. Train to raise your stats, rest when fatigue climbs, then race for prize money. Six races make a season.
Hold the pedal button (or Space) to push harder and let go to ease off. Keep the marker inside the green zone. The more time in the zone, the bigger the gain.
Keyboard: 1–4 for efforts, A to attack, S to sprint.
The reserve bar drains whenever you ride above threshold and refills below it. Empty it and you crack: you can only ride easy until it refills. Riding close behind another rider cuts your effort by about a third, so stay on a wheel and save the reserve for the finish.
Fatigue lowers your power. Above 70, training gains are halved. Arrive at a race with fatigue under 20 and you're fresh: +3% power on the day.
Races move around the map as you climb: home roads, then across the country, then the world. Long flights cause jet lag (+3 or +6 fatigue), so rest before a big trip. Each tier has a rival who races every event that season. They're stronger than the field and follow your attacks. Beat them in the season standings to win the rivalry.
At Elite level, Halcyon Aero gives you the P1 prototype, and the season adds a mountain bike race, a velodrome points race and the World Championships. Win them and you wear the Champion's Bands for a season. Book wind tunnel sessions ($1,500) to find a faster riding position. Finish in the top 5, win two Elite races or take the world title, and you're selected for the National Team: the road race plus one event of your choice at the Summer Games.
Every tier has its own season calendar. Each race pays prize money and season points (25, 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1). You race the same eleven rivals all season. Finish the season in the top 3 of the standings to move up: Rookie, Amateur, Continental Pro, then World Tour.
Pick Story, Normal or Hardcore when you create your rider. Story gives you a little more power, fewer punctures and bigger prizes; Hardcore takes some away. You can switch between Story and Normal any time under Kit & difficulty, but Hardcore can only be chosen for a new career. The Trophy cabinet on the team bus tracks 34 achievements and your career numbers.
From Amateur level, sponsors call after top-8 finishes. A contract pays every week until the season ends, plus a bonus if you hit its goal. You have two jersey spots. Continental and World Tour teams pay a salary and cover entry fees. Spend it at the Spoke & Sprocket Store: lighter frames help on climbs, aero wheels, helmets and skinsuits help on the flat, and better gear unlocks as you move up.
Coach Rosa pauses your first races to explain what's happening. You can turn tips back on here.

Halcyon Aero's tunnel. Set your position, then run the fan to measure your drag (CdA: lower is faster). Watch the smoke: turbulence behind you is wasted energy. A very flat back costs power. You get five runs, and your fastest position is locked in for every race.
